- DANOVA - Innovative transportation services for blind and partially sighted passengers in the Danube region
There are more than 30 million blind and partially sighted people in Europe who cannot travel independently because more than 96% of European transport systems, especially in the Danube region, are still not fully accessible to blind and partially sighted people. Many blind and partially sighted people find it very difficult, and in some situations impossible, to use conventional transport by plane, train, or public transport.
The goal of the DANOVA project is to increase the mobility of persons with complete or partial visual impairment in the transport sector.
